Who gets a refund

Who gets a refund

The IRD (Inland Revenue Department) is holding over $260 million in tax refunds owed to salary and wage earners.

Salary and wage earners are no longer required to file a tax return each year and because of this, most aren't aware they are owed a refund.

Tax Recall will check over the past 5 years to see if you have any tax refunds owing and claim them back on your behalf.

As Accountants, we can save you a lot of time and effort in dealing with the IRD and we maximise your return by:

  • Providing a fast efficient service.
  • Writing off all your rebate entitlements.
  • Analysing your taxes for the past 5 years.
  • Arranging "Working for Families" tax credits and getting them back paid.

If it is revealed that you owe tax that you were not aware of, Tax Recall will use their best endeavours to minimize your debt owed to the IRD.

Further more you may end up with a debt to the IRD if you request your PTS (Personal Tax Summary) yourself, without checking your eligibility.

Who is owed a tax refund?

Anytime over the past five years:

  • Those who's wages varied each pay period.
  • Those who moved from one income bracket to another (income brackets: under $38,000; $38,000-$60,000; over $60,000).
  • Those who started or finished work.
  • Those who earned less than $38,000 before tax and earned interest or dividends.
  • Those who received redundancy pay.
  • Those who had part-time or casual work.
  • Those who were under 19 years and still at school (not tertiary).
  • Those who took unpaid leave.
  • Those who received a bonus.

Any of the above could entitle you to a tax refund!...

Furthermore, people get refunds for all sorts of reasons, so it pays to check.
